Sunset Magazine 2004 Design Winner - Smith Terrace

We endeavored to turn a dull entry space into a sublime living/dining room, perfect for entertaining six for dinner or relaxing alone on the new day bed. Flooring commands attention in small spaces, so we turned the floor into a work of art by embedding small tiles in every shade of blue within colored textured concrete. Custom furnishings include the round glass PAMALEX EFFECTS Jardin Tree Table.

Bright colors turn the space into a jewelry box filled with architectural and design details. As a result of the tile treatment, the small terrace has the image of water flowing across a large expanse of coastline granite.

Adjacent to the cushioned day bed is a PAMALEX EFFECTS custom tile table inspired by Praise Daisy designs. The custom tile sideboard attached to the wall under the mirror holds candles or dishes during a meal.
